I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the
Admiralty to forward herewith, for the information of the
Secretary of State for the Colonies, a copy of two
intercepted telegrams, together with remarks thereon by the Censor at Hongkong, relating to dealings in Chinese Antimony, from which it would appear that a British firm is
acting as an intermediary between a Chinese producer of antimony and the firm of Diedrichsen, Krupp's Agent in the
Far East, who is employing a firm of American architects at Canton as his agents.
2.- My Lords understand that Mr. Bonar Law's attention
has already been drawn to this transaction by the Ministry
of Munitions and they would be glad to be informed what
action has been taken with a view to prevent Diedrichsen
from obtaining the antimony.
3.- I am to add that a copy of this letter is being
sent sent to the Ministry of Mimitions.
